BIPOC Advocacy Small Grants
Small Grants: $100 – $500
Application Deadline: Rolling Basis
The BIPOC Advocacy Small Grants campaign will provide a virtual platform for young Indigenous and Black students and change advocates from United States to lead as a catalyst for queer or climate justice.
Participants will be asked to create a one-day digital advocacy concept. Examples of advocacy plans can include images, videos, webinars or other forms of digital based media that will help to raise awareness on climate or queer justice.
Applications are available online and applicants should provide a one-paragraph concept for their advocacy plans. Selected change advocates will receive a collection of stickers created in partnership by Apply Stickers and Jeffrey Gibson and will be invited to share how their community can #ApplyPressure to climate or queer justice.
Women, men, and non-binary civil society members living in Italy will be encouraged to apply as research Fellows for the BIPOC Advocacy Small Grants campaign. Formal education should not be a limitation to participation given the socio-economic barriers confronted by many Indigenous and African peoples that limit access to formal educational institutions. Participants will be asked to create a one-day digital advocacy concept. Examples of advocacy plans can include images, videos, webinars or other forms of digital based media that will help to raise awareness on climate or queer justice.
This campaign was made possible by funds donated from Apply Stickers and renowned contemporary artist, Jeffrey Gibson, by way of an amazing new sticker release that emulates themes held at the core of Jeffrey Gibson’s work.
